Our Story

After meeting while working at a nonprofit, we decided to start our own organization with a shared vision of equitable healthcare for women. This vision grew out of our own personal experiences with the healthcare system as well as the experiences that were shared with us by friends, family, and people we have worked with. Through our different professional lenses, we were able to create a center focused on both prevention and intervention to assist in making our vision come true.

Lauren Miningham, LCSW Co-Founder

Hi I am Lauren. I am a Malden local, who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am a licensed certified social worker, working towards my independent licensure. I started my career working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness and navigating past or current traumas. I have worked within a range of settings including shelters, community centers, and hospitals. I am a trained birth doula and in the process of becoming a trained Childbirth Educator. I am passionate about assisting women in navigating their health, especially in the perinatal and postpartum period. I am a 200 registered yoga teacher and am working towards a pre and postnatal yoga certificate. I had my own struggles with getting proper medical care and feeling voiceless within the healthcare system. I’d like to use my eclectic professional and personal background to assist women in their healthcare journeys.

Leadership

Jamie Saropoulos, MPH Co-Founder

My name is Jamie, and I am a lifelong resident of Wakefield. I have my Masters of Public Health focused on Health Law, Bioethics, and Human rights. I began working during graduate school to fundraise for an organization that lobbies for reproductive justice in Massachusetts. While reproductive justice has always been a passion of mine, my work experience has varied from working with individuals experiencing homelessness to overseeing programs that support young parents or families with DCF involvement. My public health background shapes my approach to my work, which is why I am so eager to ensure that women have access to quality care throughout their pregnancy journeys and that they have advocates who can support them along the way.

Our Mission

To provide community-based, trauma-informed, support services for women navigating the systems that impact their sexual and reproductive health.
